How the Left Promotes Chaos and Division

As this column goes to press there is word that President Trump has signed an Executive Order that enables TSA workers to finally, after six weeks, to receive a paycheck. Everything democrats do is designed to hurt Donald Trump and blame any hardships borne by the American people on the president’s policies. Many of these people have families, bills to pay, mortgages and other financial responsibilities. Democrats are trying to leverage the partial government shutdown to create chaos at airports and anywhere they can to disrupt life for everyday Americans, the very people they claim to represent. Why? They are seeking to defang Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) and keep the Department of Homeland Security shuttered. If TSA workers were caught in the crossfire and forced to work without pay and the lives of millions of Americans disrupted, so be it. Well, thanks to the president’s EO TSA workers are getting paid and democrats are furious.

Government’s primary function is the protection of American lives and property. And not fully funding DHS in pursuit of an unrealistic, and for American citizens, an unsafe agenda, should make it crystal clear where democrats’ priorities lie. They may claim otherwise, but they care not a whit for the concerns of working Americans. They care more about the people who are here illegally than they do for the taxpaying public who pay their bloated salaries. You can bet that if congress was not getting paid during a government shutdown an agreement would have been reached long ago.

Senate Democrats shut down DHS, purposely limiting the capabilities of the department responsible for protecting Americans from dangerous individuals. The attack in Austin, Texas underscores the need for our homeland security teams to be fully funded and functioning. In what is being investigated as a potential lone-wolf terror attack, a Senegalese immigrant, apparently motivated by support for the murderous regime in Iran – opened fire on a bar in Austin, Texas, killing three Americans and injuring 15 others.

Border Czar Tom Homan shredded liberal media narratives about the DHS shutdown and I.C.E. agents being deployed at airports. Liberals evidently have an issue with agents helping travelers get through security. According to reports, I.C.E. agents are also assisting with medical emergencies and serving as placeholders for those who need to step out of line to use the restroom. Those don’t sound like actions that threaten “our democracy.”
