Another Attempt on the President’s Life

by Ted Flint

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is always a memorable event, never more so than this year. There is a lot of finger-pointing in the wake of a third attempt on the life of the President of the United States. 31-year-old Cole Allen exchanged gunfire with secret service agents, who he managed to elude before being subdued. The most pressing concern is how this leftist lunatic was able to gain access to the Washington Hilton Hotel armed with a shotgun, a handgun and several knives.

Much of the blame is being directed at Susie Wiles, who, in her role as White House Chief of Staff, oversees Secret Service and is ultimately responsible for the security lapses that put the President and several senior administration officials at risk. Wiles has permitted Secret Service Director Sean Curran to remain in that post despite what Real Clear Politics reports are his “numerous failures.”

In addition, the Trump Team, for whatever reason, provided a lower level of security for the event despite the presence of several high-ranking officials, including the Vice President, Secretary of State and the Speaker of the House.

The blame game is nothing new in Washington, it’s what they do best. What has also become routine is how liberal politicians are always quick to moralize after political violence on the need to “come together” and “peacefully resolve our differences.” Case in point House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who just a last week called for “maximum warfare” against republicans, wrote on X: “There will be ample time to vigorously debate the issues of the day. Now is the time to unify.” Jeffries, a former lightweight Assemblyman and an even lighter-weight Congressman, had the temerity to invoke January 6th and claimed the gravest threat facing the American people is “extreme MAGA Republicans.”

We heard similar pap from former Phony-in-Chief Barack Obama: “Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the WHCD, it’s incumbent upon all of us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy.” Please. Unsure of motives? Here’s what we know. According to the would-be assassin’s manifesto, he donated to Kamala Harris, called Trump a rapist and a pedophile, and penned dozens of anti-Trump posts.  Cole Allen also attended a recent “No Kings” rally in California (it figures) and is a former Teacher-of-the-Month. Sounds like a democrat to me.

The only thing more despicable than democrats’ attempts at civility, is the reaction from much of the mainstream media.

Shortly after the mayhem CBS’s Norah O’Donnell interviewed the President on 60 Minutes. After reading from Allen’s alleged manifesto, O’Donnell asked for Trump's reaction to the allegations of rape and pedophilia. The President was ready: "Well, I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would because you're horrible people." Horrible indeed.

The President summed it up succinctly when he said, “when you’re impactful, they go after you, when you’re not impactful, they leave you alone.” But who exactly are “they”? Whoever “they” are, there seem to be more of them. One thing is for certain, for over a decade democrats and their shills in the media have referred to the POTUS as “a Nazi,” “a fascist,” “a bigot” and “a racist.” How long before some psycho feels it his duty to save the country from such a tyrant?

Just two nights prior to the shooting, during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host parodied the annual dinner, delivering his own alternative comedy monologue as the event’s MC. Kimmel joked that Melania had the glow of an “expectant widow.”

That comment perfectly sums up today’s political Left. THEY are the biggest threat to our Constitutional Republic.
